Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote

Using the infrared camera in the Wii remote and a head mounted sensor bar (two IR LEDs), you can accurately track the location of your head and render view dependent images on the screen. This effectively transforms your display into a portal to a virtual environment. Tissot Augmented Reality

The application is available on the Tissot website www.tissot.ch/reality and allows users, when they hold their wrist in front of a webcam, to try on watches and change models, colours and styles on their computer and see themselves in realtime 3D.

With 28 different variations to choose from, consumers will be able to try on a selection of styles and select the finish and colour of their wristband from the Touch collection, including the new Sailing-Touch, T-Touch Expert and Sea-Touch. As well as seeing how the watch would look on their wrist, consumers will be able to experiment with the touch screen features of the watches, including the diver functionality of the Sea Touch and the altimeter, meteo, compass and thermometer of the wider ranges. Videos showcasing the unique features of each style will run alongside the visual of the watch on the wearers wrist. All the watches will also tell the correct time in digital and analogue.

John Mayer “Heartbreak Warfare” – Official Augmented Reality Music Video – High Quality

Studio B teamed with Adobe and John Mayer to create the worlds first Augmented Reality music video. Studio B shot and keyed the green screen footage using the new Apple ProRes 444 codec.

Flash Augmented Reality (FLAR) is a way of creating a digital hologram in 3D space by holding up a marker to your computer’s camera and activating a special piece of Flash software. As you can see in this video, I’m holding up a piece of paper with the designated marker (in this case a broken heart), and the video of John Mayer follows it around the screen, and even tilts in 3D space!

The FLAR technology was featured in WIRED Magazine, and you can check out their video as well.
