A year ago I found this organization that gives people up to $1500 in renter or mortagage assistance! They operate in most US cities, I highly suggest you try to get some of this money.

An overwhelming majority of lenders will not deal with anyone that isn’t licensed to transact real estate. You are going to have to deal with the real estate agent.

You can contact your county clerks office. Tell them you are interested in a house give them the address. Ask them who owns the house they should have the information on file. I have done this before.

check with the county records, i.e., who’s paying the taxes on the house/property – that will give an indication of who owns the property
