I would interview several Brokers and decide what they can do for you, not what can you do for them. Some companies offer no desk fees for instance but they can charge you other fees such as phone, copier, internet and transaction fees. Exit realty to me is not on the up and up. I mean I’ve been to there website and its just not my cup of tea. Of course I’ve worked with several companies at various levels so I have a different view, but I do train new agents and I see some that are unhappy and others who are thrilled to be with the company they are with. Check out (no certain order) Re/Max, Keller Williams, Tarbell Realtors, Century-21, Coldwell Banker as your major brands. Then for kicks interview boutique realty companies (off brands) that way you can see what they have to offer. Boutique companies are usually Brokers who have worked for major brands and decided to go off on their own.
