Real estate question..Zip Realty? Coldwell Banker?
Posted on October 30th, 2009 by admin
Has anyone heard of/seen anything about ZipRealty?
I am a new real estate agent and I am interveiwing with a lot of companies (Cent.21, Coldwell, a few local companies) I was thinking about checking out Zip..They say theyre in 28 major US areas and they furnish leads for agents..are they a good company?
Also does any one have any tips about Coldwell Banker? Ever worked for them? Bought through them?
I’m at RE/MAX now but I started out at Coldwell Banker. For a new agent, I couldn’t recommend a better brokerage than Coldwell. They have an outstanding training program for new agents and they are amazing with creating real world situations for real estate. They have weekly training sessions and you can go to as many as you like until you feel comfortable.
Zip Realty is scattered throughout the area. I’ve seen them around but they obviously do not have anywhere near the brand awareness like the other firm you mentioned already have. I believe ZIP will offer a little more as far as your split goes but then again, they have to do that to attract some agents.
Good luck in your new career!!

I am with First Republic Funding. I have seen Zip Realty around. I work with other agents from there, as well as C21, Re/Max, Coldwell, etc. My suggestion is to go to a place where you feel comfortable. Don’t decide just on commission cut alone, because when you get 100% commission, you get little or no leads furnished. The more commission you get, the harder it is for you. I get a great split on the leads provided by my company. But, we literally have the best leads around! We have a remarkable system that constantly generates unlimited leads! For buyers, sellers, and real estate agents!! There are not just simple farm packs! we don’t need to go door-to-door or do mass mailings. But, hey, again, go with what feels right!

I’m with Coldwell Banker. I interviewed with a lot of companies and chose Coldwell Banker for a lot of reasons. Their training is second to none. We have agencies in all 50 states as well as 29 countries. They offer new agents a lot of support and resources that some others don’t. For so many reasons, this is the perfect company.
Hope this helps.
